Full Teaser for Agents of SHEILD
Coulson totally lives!
We've already had the first Marvel movie in Phase II of thier cinematic universe but for comic book fans there's another big event on the way, this time on the small screen.

In the wake of The Avengers, a pilot was commissioned for an all new TV show called Agents of SHIELD. Written and directed by Joss Whedon, in his role as the overarching showrunner for the current Marvel crop, the pilot will see Clark Gregg returning as Agent Coulson (yes he's alive!) to give a more human take on this universe.

Coulson will team up with a group of highly trained Agents without superpowers who investigate extrahuman activity which has been on the rise since the New York incident. The cast includes Brett Dalton, Ming-Na Wen, Iain De Caestecker, Elizabeth Henstridge and Chloe Bennet.

Unsurprisingly the show has already been picked up by Disney subsidary ABC for a full season later this year, with Whedon heavily involved in the process.

To accompany the news of the pickup, Marvel has released a short teaser for the show. Watch it below.

So it clearly looks a little cheaper than the glossy sheen of The Avengers but its supposed to be on a different scale, more of an investigation of the week kind of TV deal. Maybe the most interesting news for fans is that they're getting to see the return of Joss Whedon to the smaller screen, something we might not have expected given his huge workload on The Avengers 2. Let's hope it works out better than Dollhouse...

There's no confirmed premiere date set for the pilot yet but as soon as we know, you will too.
