Game of Thrones Season 5 kicks off in April 2015 and things are starting to get very interesting indeed, not least because we're finally getting to the point where HBO's TV series starts to branch off from the world created by George RR Martin.
That's likely to have bigger repercussions as we progress into next season (unless Martin actually releases a book sometime) but for right now we're ready to see what's going on in this very war torn kingdom. The latest clip released sees Jon Snow having some chats with the ever enjoyable Mance Rayder- the former Night's Watch man who defected over the wall to become the erstwhile king of the wildlings. Also he's played by the delightful Ciaran Hinds, so we'd watch him say anything.
Not a lot to go on there, except to make it clear that there will still be plenty of tussling along the wall in the new season. And I have no idea why it all looks like it was shot through some weird filter - is this some kind of vision or memory? The eye at the start is presumably a promotional thing, giving us glimpses at the new season, so the filter is a way of setting it apart?
Many questions, we'll have to wait to find out.
