Despite numerous reports to the contrary over the last week or so, it looks as if The Hunger Games director Gary Ross is set to take charge of the follow up to the hugely successful sequel. Question marks over his involvement were raised despite the original topping the box office since its release almost a month ago. It was suggested that he was unhappy with the financial terms being offered to him, as well as the fact that he felt that the original book in the series was far and away the pick of the trilogy, and he didn't want to hamstring himself with sub-par material.
However since these whispers first surfaced, numerous sources close to Ross as well as the movie itself, have claimed that they are wide of the mark, and he looks highly likely to return to the hot seat once again.
