Golden Trailer Award winners announced - these are the best trailers of the year!

We love a good trailer around these parts - in some cases they're even better than the final film, capturing action, emotion and ridiculous voiceovers all in less than three minutes. Thankfully, once a year this vital part of the movie marketing machines gets its chance to shine with the Golden Trailer Awards.

Held yearly since 1999, they're all about giving a little extra attention to the talented teams who put together the trailers, TV spots and even poster and viral campaigns for massive movies and TV shows. It's a huge part of the industry and its great to see them getting the attention they deserve.

The 2016 awards took place on Wednesday the 6th of May at the Saban Theatre in Beverly Hills, hosted by coemdian T.J. Miller. The awards are decided by a roster of directors and stars from film and TV.

Here's a sizzle reel from last year's show.
