Goon arrived in cinemas back in early 2012 out of nowhere and ended up being one of the surprise comedies of the year.
Starring Seann William Scott as a dense but nice ice hockey player who is pretty much brought in to beat the ever-loving crap out of the other team whenever that's appropriate. It works so well because Scott plays his character as such a nice guy, who also happens to be great at ultraviolence.
Surprisingly, there's a sequel all ready for release and the first trailer has arrived. It's red band and has a lot of cursing, just so you know.
For the sequel, writer/actor Jay Baruchel has taken on the role of director as well, marking his first time at the helm of a feature film. The rest of the cast is back too, including Alison Pill and the rather great Liev Schreiber.
Goon 2 is set for release in Canada in March 2017 and in Europe later in the year.
