Hannibal Season 3 - behind the scenes with Richard Armitage's Tooth Fairy...

The Hannibal TV show is one of the most unique things out there which you're probably not watching. Apart from being one of the most attractive looking shows you'll ever see, it takes established characters from the books and movies and does things with them that you'll never expect.

The two seasons so far have been full of fanciful imagery, bizarre plot twists, really icky murders and some great performances, including Hugh Dancy as Will Graham and Mads Mikkelsen as Dr. Hannibal Lecter himself.

The third season starts in June and there's a new European setting and new characters to welcome, including Francis Dolarhyde who will be played by The Hobbit's Richard Armitage. If you don't recall the name, you might remember him better as The Tooth Fairy - a terrifying killer previously embodied on screen by Tom Noonan in Manhunter and Ralph Fiennes in Red Dragon.

The cast got together to chat about the new season in this promo, which also features our first proper look at Armitage as Dolarhyde. If you haven't seen the show so far, beware of SPOILERS.

There's a lot to take in here, starting with the presence of a large number of performers, some of whom might have been a little worse for wear at the end of Season 2. Their apperance doesn't guarantee they'll be returning but its safe to say that Hannibal never quite does what you expect it to.

Hannibal season 3 starts on NBC on the 4th of June 2015.
