In the first trailer for Steve Jobs, we get to see Michael Fassbender wearing the iconic turtleneck.
He may not look as uncanny in the role as Ashton Kutcher did, but that’ll be forgiven with the right performance. He seems to have an apt script to work with, at least.
“The musicians play the instruments. I play the orchestra,” he says. And he doesn’t hold back on hype either, comparing what seems to be a product launch to the allies winning the war.
It feels quite Social Network like. But that’s to be expected, as Aaron Sorkin also wrote this screenplay.
The film will revolve around three major product launches. Interestingly, it will wrap up in 1998 with the unveiling of the Mac.
Michael Fassbender plays Steve Jobs with Seth Rogan as Steve Wozniak, Jeff Daniels as ex-CEO John Sculley, and Kate Winslet as Joanna Hoffman, a member of the Mac and NeXT teams.
Steve Jobs will first be released in America on October 9th before making its way to Europe on November 13th.
