2012's Hotel Transylvania was a pretty forgettable affair, despite the presence of animator sort Genndy Tartakovsky (Samurai Jack, Star Wars: Clone Wars) - who came on late in production and did what he could with what sounded like a very messy project.
For the sequel, he's been on board since the start, along with SNL writer Robert Smigel. The first film made a surprising amount of cash - it's easily Adam Sandler's biggest flick for years - so it was probably inevitable that we would end up here. Anyway, here's the first trailer for Hotel Transylvania 2 - which I giggled at.
Mostly I giggled when that dude ran around on fire. These films in my mind are just another opportunity for Sandler to hang out with his mates - only this time in a recording booth where they probably drink beer between takes. Look out for appearances by David Spade and Kevin James alongside co-stars Selena Gomez, Andy Samberg and Mel Brooks - who plays Sandler's dad and probably says oh vey.
Hotel Transylvania 2 is in cinemas in Ireland in October 2015.
