Daniel Radcliffe has been working really hard to throw off the weight of Harry Potter since the massively successful series ended, and while he'll probably always be The Boy Who Lived to many, his dramatic outings have been fairly impressive to date. And it looks like his latest might showcase the young man's best performance yet.
Imperium is based on the true story of an FBI agent who is confronted with the chance to help his country by infiltrating a neo-Nazi gang - obviously things get a little complicated. Here's the first trailer.
Radcliffe has always been a pretty deliberate performer, which is probably a consequences of working on massive blockbusters since you were 11, but he still seems very willing to learn and there's some real subtlety on display here. It's also a slightly different take on a tale we've seen before, and comes with some strong support from the likes of Toni Collette, Sam Trammell and Nestor 'Eyelashes' Carbonell.
Imperium is the feature directing debut of Daniel Ragussis from his own screenplay and hits cinemas in September, 2016.
