In Irish cinemas April 24th

There's one movie you're going to have to work hard to avoid this coming week, and that's Joss Whedon's Avengers: Age of Ultron. It's the latest big screen outing for the Marvel superheroes and with an Irish release date of April 23rd, we're getting it in cinemas more than a week before it arrives in America.

Read on for our roundup of releases for the week ending April 24th 2015.

Avengers: Age of Ultron

Iron Man, Thor, Black Widow, Hulk, Captain America and Hawkeye are back for the much anticipated sequel to 2012's Avengers - film which stands as the third highest grossing movie of all time. The team has to work together to fight the threat of an evil artificial intelligence called Ultron in a globe-trotting mission with massive spectacle, special effects and laughs. The Falling

Game of Thrones' Masie Williams (she's Arya) gets her own starring role for this strange drama set in the 60s in England. A popular girl at school starts to have fainting spells and soon the whole population is gripped by the ailment. Mass hysteria or something more supernatural, you'll have to watch to find out!

The Good Lie

Four refugees from Sudan win a lottery to be relocated to America where their life is forever changed by a woman called Carrie Davis played by Reese Witherspoon. Based on true events and inspired by the Lost Boys of Sudan, it's a powerful drama with a great leading performance by Witherspoon.

A Pigeon Sat on A Branch Contemplating on Existence

Swedish director Roy Andersson is back with the final part in his "living" trilogy. And if you've never experienced his unique mix of comedy and surrealism then you might find yourself a bit lost! It's kind of the story of a couple of joke product salesman and also a hyper-weird series of tableux's with minimal camera movement and bizarre characters. Worth a look for the curious.
