There are no superheroes or giant monsters coming to the big screen in Ireland this week, which is kind of an impressive achivement considering we're right in the middle of the blockbuster silly season. Instead you'll find drama with Sherlock Holmes and laughs with the Entourage crew.
Following on from the popular HBO TV show which ran from 2004 to 2011, Entourage ups the ante to the big screen. That means the foursome of Vince, Turtle, Drama and Eric are back and getting up to more shenanigans and even more celebrity cameos than ever before. That list includes Jessica Alba, Kelsey Grammer, Liam Neeson, George Takei and, of course, producer Mark Wahlberg.
The great Sir Ian McKellen has already been Gandalf and Magneto but he's not done yet, taking on the mantle of Sherlock Holmes for a new movie. But this is a very different story, giving us a glimpse at the great detective at the age of 93, retired in the countryside and looking after his bees. But when an old case returns to his mind, he can't help trying to solve one last mystery.
Gael Garcia Bernal stars as a mysterious man who seems to have been sent to help Alice Braga - a famer who is being forced off her land. They team up for a gorgeously lensed pseudo Western set in the jungle's of Argentina. Directed by Pablo Fendrik and Argentina's official entry for best foreign language film at the Oscars.
Here's a weird one - directed by David O'Russell way back in 2008 and then abandoned due to financial difficulties. He's since released the Oscar winning The Fighter, Silver Linings and American Hustle so the film has been resurrected without his involvement. We hear its terrible but look how young the cast - including Jessica Biel, Jake Gyllenhaal and James Marsden look in the trailer!
