Irish Oscar hopeful Brooklyn out now on DVD in Ireland

Irish eyes will all be on the Oscars at the end of February 2016 with a number of local contenders in the race in a bevy of categories. That includes three nominations for Brooklyn including Best Film, Best Actress for Saoirse Ronan and Best Adapted Screenplay for Nick Hornby.

The acclaimed drama was a huge success at the box office and has now arrived on DVD, blu-ray and download in Ireland. It's the tale of a young Irish woman who travels from a small town to the bustling metropolis of New York in the 1950s. There she finds a new life and a new love... before complications draw her back to the place of her birth.

Brooklyn stars Saorise Ronan, Domhnall Gleeson, Emory Cohen, Jim Broadbent and Julie Walters and was shot in locations around Wexford and Dublin before moving to Canada and New York and came together as a co-production between those countries. The home video release features deleted scenes, interviews and making of featurettes, giving you a glimpse behind the scenes at this international success story.

Brooklyn is available on DVD, blu-ray and streaming in Ireland from Friday the 26th of February 2016. That's right now!
