Dracula - Untold is the story you definitely haven't heard before.
It tells the tale of Vlad Țepeș, a warrior and leader who would do anything to save his family. And when all other options are exhausted, he goes looking for help in places dark and deep, and comes out changed forever.
The film is the directorial debut of Irish filmmaker Gary Shore and includes stars like Luke Evans, Sarah Gadon, Dominic Cooper and Charles Dance. And it's looking pretty spectacular.
Universal Pictures Ireland and the Jameson Dublin InternationalFilm Festival are hosting a special charity screening of the film in aid of St. Francis Hospice, Raheney.On Tuesday the 30th of September 2014, the film will arrive at the Savoy in Dublin for its first ever Irish showing, with director Gary Shore and stars Luke Evans and Sarah Gadon in attendence.
Director Gary Shore says: “I will screen my feature debut, Dracula Untold, with an audience for the very first time. Apart from the honor of this being in Dublin, I wanted to use this opportunity to recognize the great work of St. Francis Hospice. I cannot speak more highly of the people who work there and the service it provides to patients and families. Thank you JDIFF and St. Francis hospice for allowing me to do this.”
Ethel McKenna, Chief Executive Officer of St. Francis Hospice says:“We are absolutely delighted that Dublin film-maker Gary Shore would dedicate his first screening to St. Francis Hospice. We are so deeply grateful to Gary, Universal Pictures Ireland and the Dublin International Film Festival for their support of this occasion.”
