The latest rumour to emerge from the Star Wars: Episode VII camp is that Girls co-star Adam Driver will play the role of Han (Harrison Ford) and Leia (Carrie Fisher) Solo's son, and he'll have a major part in the way the new trilogy unfolds.
The news comes from Star Wars fan site Jedi News, and it's claiming that the story of Solo Junior will be a familar one. The site says:
Sounds like Adam Driver is NOT going to play a villain...sort of. He will be playing the son of Han and Leia, and it seems he will be seduced to the Dark Side, and a main plot point for the movie will be their attempt to rescue him.
So, just like young Anakin Skywalker before him, it would appear that Driver's character will end up making his way over to the dark side - however given the similarities to previous plot lines in the Star Wars universe, we're not entirely convinced. While it COULD be true, there's got to be a little more to it than that.
Perhaps this will run as a single episode story arc rather than for the full trilogy? Maybe he'll successfully break away from the lure of the dark side and go on to be a Jedi great? Either way, we've got our fingers crossed that this isn't the focal point of the whole thing because, let's face it, what would be the point in that?
