Those who were in Hall H during San Diego Comic Con this year were treated to an exclusive look at Guardians of the Galaxy 2. Those who weren't present are getting a little impatient because the trailer hasn't been released, and director James Gunn wants everyone to stop bugging him about it.
He took to Facebook to say that while he's delighted that people are so eager to see footage from the film, asking him about it won't make it come out any sooner.
"I appreciate and am grateful that so many of you want to see the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2 trailer. I am fortunate that so many folks are interested in our film," he wrote.
"However, the schedule for the trailers has been decided upon and no matter how many times you request on social media that they come out faster – which has lately been happening dozens of times a day – what is done is done."
He also revealed that some people have taken things a little too far, posting about the trailer on a completely unrelated picture that he shares or calling him names.
Gunn previously shared why the trailer hasn't been released. He said that Comic Con audience members got a glimpse at an in-progress piece of film, which may not stand up to repeated viewings as things like visual effects aren't finished. So, the trailer will be released when it's good and ready.
