JDIFF 2015 Welcomes Alan Rickman Kenneth Branagh Julie Andrews and Russell Crowe to Dublin

The Jameson Dublin International Film Festival 2015 runs from the 19th to the 29th of March 2015, and its time to get with the announcements.

Here's just some of the top talent coming to Dublin this year:

Alan Rickman, Kenneth Branagh, Russell Crowe,Ryan O’Neal, Julie Andrews,Kim Cattrall, Danny Huston, Jan Harlan, Jack Reynor, RobbieSheehan, Orla Brady, Vincent Perez.

The full programme for the fest launches today, including more than 100 films over 11 days from 38 countries around the globe. A major part of the fest this year sees acclaimed actors turned directors showcasing their work behind the camera - Alan Rickman with A Little Chaos, Kenneth Branagh with Cinderella and Russell Crowe pop back into town with his directorial debut The Water Diviner.

Fest director Grainne Humpreys has words to say:

“This year’s festival will again celebrate the best of contemporaryworld cinema, bringing the work of both the established and emergingfilmmakers to Dublin over 11 glittering days and nights. It’s going tobe a very special year - we have a dazzling array of films and a guestlist which has taken years to assemble. This festival belongs to ouraudiences who come in such great numbers, we have expanded theprogramme to accommodate new venues and screenings, each year werelish the challenge to excite, educate and entertain the best cinemaaudiences in the world”

Branagh and legendary star Julie Andrews will both be receiving Volta awards in 2015, and you can attend a public interview with Andrews at the Bord Gais Energy Theatre which is guaranteed to be one of the highlights of the 11 day festival. Ryan O'Neal will also attend the fest, with the star of Love Story and The Driver sitting for a conversation about his career with JDIFF's Grainne Humphreys.

Irish movies and talent will also be in the spotlight, including local showings of The Canal (Ivan Kavanagh), Tana Bana (Pat Murphy), Glassland (Gerard Barett), Let Us Prey (Brian O'Malley), From The Dark (Conor McMahon) and Dare to be Wild (Vivienne De Courcy).
