Shortly after the release of Batman v Superman, production on Justice League got underway. Jesse Eisenberg has seemingly revealed that he will return as Lex Luthor.
Speaking at MCM London Comic Con, via CBM, Eisenberg said that he’s kind of waiting in the wings. “They just started filming Justice League, so I’m kind of like waiting for my crack at it,” he said.
He was careful not to give too much away though. “I don’t know what I’m allowed to say, because I feel like there’s probably some drone following me from DC, and if I say anything wrong I get, you know, picked off. But yeah I think so, and I love it, and I love everybody who’s in it. You know, it’s a really talented group of people.”
Batman v Superman set Luthor up to play more of a part in future films in the DC Universe. A deleted scene showed him speaking with an otherworldly being, which could be Steppenwolf who is tipped to be the baddie of Justice League.
Justice League is scheduled for release on November 17, 2017.
