Even the people who are making Jurassic World are really excited about it, and when those people include Steven Spielberg and moviestar Chris Pratt, that makes us excited too.
A new video goes behind the scenes to talk about the franchise and the importance of the new film, and also features a lot of brand new footage which gives us some of our best glimpses yet at the various dinos on the island.
Check it out.
As a massive fan of the original - it was the first true blockbuster I remember seeing in the cinema - I'm always going to be a bit skeptical of a new entry in the franchise but the enthusiasm is great to see and hear and some of the action beats are starting to look really cool, like when that... ball thing gets untethered.
If you want to know what the experience is going to sound like, two tracks from Michael Giacchino's score have also dropped. They were played on New York's WQXR radio show last night and they've both been compiled into a video. If you want a nostalgia hit, there's a trill of John Williams' original Jurassic Park theme at 5.20.
Giacchino is a well known composer who picked up an Oscar for his scoring of Pixar's Up and also worked on Tomorrowland, Star Trek, Super 8, Cloverfield and many more. Personally, I've never been a massive fan of his sound as they tend to be a bit generic but the early taste here is decent, with the mix of wonder and energy you'd want for Jurassic World. It's just a shame Williams was busy getting the tunes for Star Wars Episode VII ready.
Jurassic World is in cinemas on June 11th 2015.
