Remember Eli Roth, the filmmaker behind such 'classics' as Hostel, Cabin Fever and not much else? Well he's back at the helm for another pretty crappy looking film.
Knock Knock is about a family man played by Keanu Reeves. You can already tell that means the film makes no sense. Just wait for his first delivery in the trailer below. Actually just watch the whole dreadful thing.
It's not just that the plotting is totally unoriginal but everything about how its been put together looks utterly awful. Reeves isn't the kind of actor you want to rely on for heavy drama stuff, he's the kind of actor you want to see shooting people in the head for killing his dog.
And that's before we mention the creaky-looking performances from young ones Ignacia Allamand and Lorenza Izzo. The Chilean nationals don't have a lot of credits to their names - at least in English - but Izzo recently became Mrs Eli Roth so she almost certainly got the role for acting talent.
Maybe it'll be so bad it's good? Reviews out of Sundance suggest just bad...
Knock Knock is coming to cinemas in June 2015.
