Downton Abbey creator Julian Fellowes has announced that Liam Neeson and Pierce Brosnan are to shoot a new Christmas movie in Belfast later this year. The two Irish stars will feature in A Christmas Star, a film made to mark the 25th anniversary of Cinemagic International Film and Television Festival for Young People.
Also attached to the project is the Oscar-winning producer of The King's Speech, Gareth Ellis Unwin, and critically acclaimed composer of the Planet of the Apes, Patrick Doyle, as well as the two Hollywood heavyweights.
Due to be filmed in Belfast, it is reported that hundreds of young Northern Irish people will be involved with the film. Fellowes said that: "Young people, from every type of background and culture, are being encouraged to explore the world of film for themselves, first hand. We want them to break through the glass ceiling and walls that surround them."
