A retro styled poster has been released from
Comic-Con for the upcoming release of
The Bourne Legacy. Its beauty is in its simplicity really with a wireframe of a globe at the centre of a target. Right at the top is a silhouette of a jumping man who, we have to assume, is meant to represent Aaron Cross. The poster comes courtesy of design studio
Gallery 1988, which has created 200 of the limited edition prints. These screenprints are numbered and will be given away to a lucky few at the convention.
The film packs the tagline, “There Was Never Just One,” and tells the story of Aaron Cross who gets caught up in the political fallout after the events of
The Bourne Ultimatum. Cross is described as another super-spy in the same mould as Jason Bourne. He is armed with genetically modified chromosomes and unrivalled training in hand to hand combat, making him a dangerous adversary when he inevitably turns rogue.
The Bourne Legacy stars
Jeremy Renner,
Edward Norton and
Rachel Weisz, while
Joan Allen,
David Strathairn and
Albert Finney return to familiar roles. The film will be released on August 10th in North America and August 13th in Ireland.
