Lucy Lawless Will Star With Bruce Campbell in The Evil Dead TV Show!

In case you somehow missed the news, Ash is back baby!

Yes Bruce Campbell's character from the legendary Evil Dead franchise is making a return, and this time, the King is heading to TV. Ash vs. Evil Dead will see our hero facing off against Deadites with some helpers and hindrances in tow. The latest to join the cast is none other than Xena herself - Lucy Lawless. She's been keeping herself busy with plenty of TV roles in recent years, including Battlestar Galactica and Spartacus and joins a cast including Ray Santiago, Dana DeLorenzo and Jill Marie Jones.

The show will kick off later in the year and run for 10 episodes on the STARZ channel - which means there can be just as much blood and guts as a series like this deserves. Here's the summary:

"Bruce Campbell will be reprising his role as Ash, the stock boy, aging lothario and chainsaw-handed monster hunter who has spent the last 30 years avoiding responsibility, maturity and the terrors of the Evil Dead. When a Deadite plague threatens to destroy all of mankind, Ash is finally forced to face his demons –personal and literal. Destiny, it turns out, has no plans to release the unlikely hero from its “Evil” grip."

Sounds fab, especially with original director Sam Raimi returning to direct the pilot and exec produce the series.

Bring it on!
