Spider-Man Homecoming has only just been revealed as the title of the new standalone Spidey movie, which is coming about thanks to a unique collaboration between Marvel and Disney. And now we might know who he could be facing off against.
Reports are suggesting that the right legendary Michael Keaton could be the main villain for Homecoming, making trouble for Tom Holland's webslinger. Variety has the news which isn't conclusive yet as it sounds like the actor is only in talks.
Keaton's last big role was in Oscar winner Birdman where he played a version of himself to some degree - an aging actor best known for being part of a massive superhero franchise. Some 25 years after his last Batman outing he could be stepping back into that world, though this time for Marvel instead of DC.
One rumour has suggested that the main villain for Homecoming could be Vulture and given Keaton's recent experience as a feathered character that would be a pretty interesting bit of casting.
Spider-Man Homecoming is set for release in summer 2018.
