The success of Sky TV show Moone Boy has been pretty incredible, especially given the show has produced just 12 episodes to date.
Moone Boy centres on a kid called Martin Moone, who has an imaginary friend played by creator and co-writer Chris O'Dowd. They have funny adventures in a town in rural Ireland, mostly shot in O'Dowd's home town of Boyle, Co. Roscommon.
And we might just be ready to see Boyle on the big screen, as writer Nick Vincent confirmed there's an idea for a movie version in the works, set to cap off the series: "We feel that we want to end it in a big way and we are not sure how we want to do that. The boys are growing up so it's a series with a short shelf-life.So you can't have an imaginary friend forever, so this story is going to end and we're figuring how to end it."
So there might only be another season or two for this show before its dramatic end - unless Chris O'Dowd moves entirely to Hollywood in the meantime.
