Muppets director James Bobin has confirmed that he will be in the director’s chair for the 23 Jump Street and Men in Black crossover, MiB 23.
In an interview with ComingSoon, he revealed that he got the job and that shooting will get underway later this year. "Yes, it’s very early stages, obviously, but I’ve always loved the Men in Black world,” he said. “Channing [Tatum] and Jonah [Hill] in 21 Jump Street are just so funny. Those guys and their world makes me laugh every time I think about it. That’s always a good sign for a film."
It’s as yet unclear who he’ll be working with; Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum are yet to officially sign on, but it seems likely that they’ll reprise their roles. What’s less clear is who will represent the Men in Black side of the crossover.
Details are thin on the ground at the moment, but with shooting getting underway later this year we expect to hear more in the near future.
