New Beverly Hills Cop Flick Gets Release Date
Axel is back!

It may have been two decades since we last saw Eddie Murphy take the smart mouthed cop Axel Foley to the big screen, but the serieshas long remained a fan favourite, and it's set to get a brand new entry very soon, with Beverly Hills Cop IV set for release on March 25th, 2016, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

Joining Murphy in the long overdue return will be director Brett Ratner who has long been working on the project, as well as writers Josh Applebaum and Andre Nemec, while Jerry Bruckheimer will produce.

A lot has changed in the world since we last saw Axel (including the direction of star Eddie Murphy's career), so it'll be very interesting to see how the character has evolved since the third movie launched back in 1992. We're hoping that we can look forward to crossing paths with some of the other series favourites, including Judge Reinhold, Jon Flint and, of course, Bronson Pinchot, whose Serge is almost as iconic as Murphy's Foley.
