After years of delays and production issues, George Miller's Mad Max Fury Road is finally nearing its theatrical release.
I don't think I ever really expected it to happen, especially a quarter of a century after the last (fairly limp) effort in Beyond Thunderdome. But it's real, its here and its from the director of Babe...
And the second trailer is just about the most glorious thing I've ever seen.
Such explosion. Much pretty. Very wow.
While the film went massively over budget, you can't deny Miller's put every penny on screen. Those car chases look rough and raw and, refreshingly, like they actually happened in real life. And just look at the rich colours, the over the top characters and the scale of the action.
This is visionary filmmaking, and it could end up being one of the best releases of the year.
Mad Max: Fury Road is in cinemas in May 2015.
