Okay, so most of you are reading this and thinking "what the heck is Phantasm?", and that's perfectly fine, but for those of you who are familiar with the horror series, you're probably incredibly excited right now, aren't you? You want to jump up and down in eager anticipation. It's okay, we know EXACTLY what you're going through, because when we learned that Phantasm V: Ravager, co-written by Don Coscarelli, had already been shot and would be out in the foreseeable future, we did pretty much the same thing!
Directed by David Hartman, whose credits include Transformers Prime and some Rob Zombie Viteos as well as work on John Dies at the End and Bubba Ho-Tep along with Coscarelli, the movie will hopefully tie up all the loose ends of the series so far, bringing closure to one of our favourite cult classics along the way.
The returning lineup of talent is impressive, with Angus Scrimm returning as The Tall Man, and Reggie Bannister, Bill Thornbury, Ket Lester and Michael Baldwin all reprising the roles they last visited back in 1998.
A teaser trailer has been released for the movie which doesn't give too much away, but Coscarelli himself claimed a couple of years back that the movie, should it happen, would feature The Tall Man's home dimension pretty heavily.
This is a flick we cannot wait for!
