New trailer for Pan - and it finally looks like a fairytale

The first promos for Pan were pretty enough in their own way but really lacking in the magical flair we expected from director Joe Wright - who made Hanna, Anna Karenina and Atonement. Thankfully, the fantasy is in full bloom in this new trailer.

Pan recently slipped from a summer release date to October 2015 and while sometimes the excuse of delaying to allow for time for special effects is just a smokescreen for production issues, it really does look like the world of the story is being massively opened up in the new scenes showcased. Here's the trailer.

There's a huge amount of imagination on offer here, from the war-town streets of London to Blackbeard's ship, mermaids, swordfights and a spot of flying. In short, it's already looking a lot more interesting and pushing it closer to a Christmas release might yet prove to be the right now. We're still not gone on whatever accent Garret Hedlund is doing as Hook though...

Pan stars Levi Miller, Hugh Jackman, Rooney Mara and Amanda Seyfried and is in cinemas on the 9th of October 2015.
