Although shooting has apparenly already started on the latest Star Wars trilogy, the final cast remains shrouded in mystery, with many suggesting that director J.J. Abrams has cobbled together a group of up and comers rather than established stars. That hasn't stopped people from speculating that Sherlock and Star Trek: Into Darkness star Benedict Cumberbatch would be involved somehow, though.
However the British actor has moved to quell such rumours. Speaking at Australia's Oz Comic-Con, Cumberbatch said that although he would've loved a part in the latest movie, it wasn't to be:
Iwould've liked a part in J.J.'s newStar Wars, but it won't happen, sadly.
And there was even worse news for lovers of Cumberbatch and sci-fi fans, as he also took the opportunity to rule himself out of appearing on Doctor Who... like ever. Way to smashour dreams into teensy tiny little pieces before dancing all over themBenedict. Sheesh...
