Darren Aronofsky is the visionary director behind the likes of Requiem for a Dream and The Fountain so when he takes on something like the epic story of Noah you can expect something truly unique.
And that goes for the look of the animals too. With some help from Industrial Light and Magic, Aronofsky decided to not only make each and every animal distinct but also ensure that none of them looked quite like their modern counterpart, placing the story in a mysterious kind of pre-history.
The result makes for some stunning visuals but seriously hard work to create the entirely CG horde of creatures who board the ship.
