I have a bad feeling about Transcendence. Not only does Johnny Depp not have the best nose for decent movie projects these days (The Lone Ranger, Dark Shadows, The Rum Diary are his last three) but it's also the directorial debut of cinematographer Wally Pfister and comes from a first time screenwriter.
But wait, there's more. A clip released from the film featuring Morgan Freeman and Paul Bettany also makes the film seem like it might be host to the worst hacker waffle since its 90s hey dey.
Check out this crap.
So what the heck does that mean then? Is the finale of this $100 million movie really going to be Bettany at a computer? The entire set up sounds suspiciously like a fancy version of The Lawnmower Man - you know it simply wouldn't be made without Pfister's relationship with Christopher Nolan.
Also suspiciously, there's not a single review yet for the film, despite the stars doing press for the last week or so. It's going to be awful.
Transcendence is in cinemas in the US from the 17th of April and comes across the pond on the 25th.
