Rugby fans will have multiple reasons to celebrate later this year. The World Cup is finally rolling around, and there is a videogame on the horizon at long last. Thirteen screenshots have been released to showcase Rugby Challenge. The title will be released in “Quarter 3”, 2011. No indication has been given as to whether it will ship before or after the World Cup.
Jonah Lomu is lending his expertise, name and appearance to the upcoming title. This will be the first time in over a decade that he will appear in a game. However, fans will have fond memories of him rampaging down the wing in both digital and real-life forms.
The Rugby Challenge screenshots appear intent on drumming home the fact that the Quantas Wallabies and the All Blacks have been officially licensed. This is on top of other unspecified licensed teams, competitions, the ITM Cup and Super Rugby teams. Further details are to be announced closer to release.
