Rousing trailer released for The Master
A new clip has been released from The Master, in which Lancaster Dodd (Philip Seymour Hoffman)gives a mesmerising motivational speech. Hoffman plays a charismatic writer and thinker who becomes a cult leader as his personal religion spreads through ‘50s America. Also featured in the clip is a character by the name of Freddie Sutton (Joaquin Phoenix) who has a propensity for violence and drinking. The two meet and hit it off before Sutton becomes Dodd’s right hand man in the organisation. It is only then that Sutton’s natural tendencies come to the fore again and put the success of the cult at risk.

The Master is directed by Paul Thomas Anderson and also stars Amy Adams and Laura Dern. It will be released in cinemas in North America on September 21st and in Europe from November 9th.
