Ryan Gosling could be returning from his year-long break from the big screen to team up with producer Marc Platt and star in Warner Bros biopic about the famous director and choreographer of musicals, Busby Berkeley.
Warner Bros has optioned Buzz: The Life and Art of Busby Berkeley, to be adapted into a movie produced by Platt and Gosling, according to The Hollywood Reporter. The duo previously teamed up on Drive, the popular 2011 film that instantly became a cult hit.
The studio are said to be planning to cast Gosling as the lead and there is a possibility that he might direct it too. This won't be Gosling's first directorial as he directed How to Catch a Monster which is due for release later this year.
Being cast as Berkeley will be a welcomed return to the screen for Gosling who has recently taken a break from acting stating that: "I've lost perspective on what I'm doing ... I need a break from myself as mucn as I imagine the audiences does."
