While rumours have been bouncing around regarding the role of Q in
Skyfall, it has finally been announced that
Ben Whishaw is playing the part. To go with this announcement, a new still was released showing Q in all his geeky glory. This may satisfy those who felt that the previous two Bond films weren’t “real Bond films”.
Producers Michael G. Wilson and Barbara Broccoli said in an official statement, “It’s a real thrill to confirm the return of Q in Skyfall played by the enormously talented, Ben Whishaw. We are delighted to have this beloved character back in the series.” Skyfall will open in cinemas on October 26th in Europe and November 9th in North America.
