2012’s The Amazing Spider-Man was criminally low on spectacle. Lacking a single standout action sequence, it performed particularly poorly in the inevitable comparison with Marvel Studios’ The Avengers earlier that summer.
Marc Webb, to his credit, seems to have taken our concerns onboard.
Coz I’m sure it was clickonline.com’s bitching and moaning that did the trick…
Behold the latest clip from The Amazing Spider-Man 2, in which a disorientated and emotionally unstable Electro lashes out at Spidey, and as a direct result (coz electricity) everyone within a 10m radius.
Below we have some awesome use of slow and outright stilled motion, a clever interpretation of the much publicized Spider sense, an inventive use of powers and an overwhelming regard for the safety of bystanders.
Take THAT 2012’s Marc Webb.
Hell, Take THAT 2013’s Man of Steel. That is if you’re not too busy pushing over buildings full of innocent civilians, you jackass!
The Amazing Spider-Man 2 is cinemas now.
