Trekkies rejoice! The follow up to J.J. Abrams' wonderfully enjoyable Star Trek has been given a release date! It is set to hit theatres on May 17th next year following the news that Roland Emmerich's Singularity would no longer be filling that slot. It is being reported that the movie will screen in 3D, however nobody seems to know whether or not it will be filmed using 3D technology or have the effect added in post production - we're hoping for the former.
Shooting starts in around six weeks, with the cast expected to report for duty on January 15th.
