Star Wars VII casts two unknown actors
While Star Wars: Episode VII is taking a break from filming thanks to Harrison Ford’s injury, two new cast announcements have been made.

The two new actors aren’t household names, at least not yet. Crystal Clarke and Pip Andersen were discovered during open casting calls for the upcoming film. Clarke will make her film debut next year in The Moon and the Sun, while Andersen is known for his parkour YouTube videos. They’re certainly impressive, so we’re looking forward to seeing the kind of stunt work he’s involved in.

Lucasfilm president Kathleen Kennedy explained why two unknown actors have been cast in the upcoming film, basing it on tradition. She said, “The Star Wars universe has always been about discovering and nurturing young talent and in casting Episode VII we wanted to remain absolutely faithful to this tradition.”

This could be the big break that Clarke and Andersen were waiting for. The added exposure shouldn’t do their careers any harm at the very least.
