Stranger Things was a pretty surprising hit for Netflix earlier in 2016, and the streaming service is going right ahead with a second season to capitalize on that popularity.
The new episodes have just started shooting, and you'll be pleased to hear a lot of the original cast is returning, including the great Millie Bobby Brown as Eleven.
Naturally there are new characters as well, and given the 80s setting they've picked a few doozies. First up is Sean Astin, who you'll probably know as Sam in the Lord of the Rings films but also appeared in 80s classic The Goonies.
Variety says that he's playing a character called Bob Newby, who went to school with Winona Ryder and David Harbour's characters. He's a 'kind-hearted former nerd' who now runs a RadioShack in the town.
Another new addition is Paul Reiser who played a major part in 1986's Aliens (let's hope the kinds don't watch that one) and also had sitcom stardom with Mad About You. He's going to be a fellow called Doctor Owens who will be trying to lock down and cover up the crazy events of the first season.
Expect the new episodes in 2017.
