Stranger Things season 2 will have some 'Crazy Stuff'

Stranger Things season 1 pretty much came out of nowhere to be one of the best and most exciting series of the year. Happily Netflix is going to bring it back for at least one more season, with extra episodes already in production.

As for what they'll be about, we've already heard that many of the characters will be returning and writer/creators Matt and Ross Duffer want to stick with these kids to see them grow up, while also digging deeper into the mysteries surrounding this small town in Indiana.

Another major part of the first series was director/producer Shawn Levy and he's been chatting about what to expect from the upcoming season with Southern Pacific Public Radio.

Collider grabbed some quotes which are vague enough but exciting all the same while Levy talks about following up the success of the initial episodes:

"Yes, the pressure is on. It would be so blatantly disingenuous of me to say differently. It’s scary to have people love something this much. It becomes impossible to banish all thoughts of not wanting to disappoint. This has been the challenge of it: on the one hand as we’ve see in the movie world, to do a follow-up that feels like the same thing is disappointing to an audience; to abandon things or change things [from the original], that disappoints the audience. A lot of Season 2 is next-level, some crazy stuff, but we must service these characters who are now beloved, who are known to the audience."

He also mentions how the kids themselves have grown and changed a lot in the time since season one was shot, which is always a danger when using teens who are quickly becoming adults. With no specific timeline in place, they could skip a couple of years ahead to stay on top of those growth spurts.

Stranger Things season 2 will be out in 2017.
