Anyone who took public transport in 2015 definitely saw hordes of people reading Paula Hawkins' The Girl on the Train. It was a total publishing phenomenon, selling millions of copies and staying atop bestseller lists for weeks.
Naturally a film adaptation was fast tracked and it's going to be in cinemas less than two years after the book arrived in January 2015. It even has a hugely impressive cast including Emily Blunt, Luke Evans, Haley Bennet, Justin Theroux and Alison Janney.
The full trailer dives deeper into the story of this psychological thriller. There will be twists and turns.
It's looking pretty tasty, with Blunt's skewed world view as our perspective allowing for all sorts of narrative tricks. The Help's Tate Taylor is at the helm and the rather great Rebecca Ferguson from Mission Impossible 5 also has a major part but is curiously left out of this trailer.
See it in cinemas in October, 2016.
