The Inbetweeners will not be a trilogy
The Inbetweeners 2 will be the last hurrah for Will, Jay, Simon and Neil, according to the cast and crew of the film.

Writer and director Damon Beesley told Sky News that the second film, which sees the four characters heading to Australia, will be their final adventure. He said, “This is it, we are now killing them so it's like go and see this film. It's like a wake for The Inbetweeners.”

The Inbetweeners 2 follows the lads on tour as they head down under on another quest to hook up with women and have some fun. The boys made a name for themselves in the E4 series, but it’s been three years since fans have been able to experience a new misadventure.

According to the cast, it took three years of constant requests from fans for them to even consider another movie. They attended a meeting with Beesley to read the script and were won over by the idea because it was one of the funniest Inbetweeners scripts they had read. So, perhaps we shouldn’t completely discount the idea of another adventure sometime in the future.

The Inbetweeners 2 will be released on August 6th.
