Vin Diesel is a man we can't help liking - mainly because he seems to have been one of the major reaons behind the reinvention and success of the Fast and Furious franchise, which has become one of the best action-packed series out there.
Outside of his work in and around cars, the Diesel has had a little less success - from a couple of dull Riddick films to xXx, Babylon A.D. and horrorshows like The Pacifier. What we're really saying is that his solo work tends to be on the other side of good. The terrrible side. So instantly we're worried about this latest project The Last Witch Hunter.

Muddy mythology, Game of Thrones actress, Michael Caine voice over and a completely nonsensical one liner by the star at the end. As much as we'd like to see more action-filled fantasy in the cinema, this couldn't look less generic and over produced. We're willing to bet its also going to be a sanitised PG13 flick as well.
The one small hope comes in the form of director Breck Eisner, who did good work with 2010's The Crazies but also directed Sahara. So...
