Is slapstick comedy still relevant in the modern era of film? The Farrelly brothers are set to put this to the test with the release of The Three Stooges in April. The film has seen its fair share of production and casting issues over the last decade. This could explain why the trailer features a Jackass style and references the series considering that gang haven’t been as prominent in recent years.

The Three Stooges follows Larry (Sean Hayes), Curly (Will Sasso) and Moe (Chris Diamantopoulos) as they attempt to save their childhood home. Unfortunately, they become involved in a murder plot, and end up stumbling onto a reality TV show. The Three Stooges will finally be unleashed on April 13th.
