The Weekend's first person music video is insane

Canadian song-fella The Weekend had a new track in the works called False Alarm and was looking for a concept for a music video. Naturally that meant hiring the Russian director behind Hardcore Henry who specialises in creating first person action extravaganzas.

The result is a blistering short movie, made to look like it's all shot in one take from behind the eyes of the protagonist. It's rough and raw and very, very violent and you definitely shouldn't watch this in work.

Seriously, this is NSFW!

Honestly this is better than Hardcore Henry in a lot of ways, mostly down to the fact that that it's a lot shorter and the camera is relatively stable throughout. And even though there are many cuts which have been stitched together there's still a huge amount of technical verve on display.

The song is pretty good too!

False Alarm is from the new album Starboy which is out now.
