I know people may not be talking about Tomorrowland much yet, but they really should be.
The new film from Brad Bird, the director of The Iron Giant and The Incredibles, seems like a film which might actually manage to bring back some movie magic, even to someone as jaded and cynical as I can sometimes be. There's just so much hope and spirit in every frame of the promo materials so far. Case in point, the first full length trailer.
It's interesting that the central premise is still a bit mysterious - yes we're getting a better idea of the surprisingly dangerous world which these characters inhabit but I wouldn't be surprised if most of the action we're seeing here belongs to the first half of the film, leaving the actual glimpses of Tomorrowland itself wonderfully opaque.
As a side note, if you're living in Ireland or the UK you're going to be seeing trailers and posters calling the film Tomorrowland - A World Beyond. That's down to a local name dispute with the Tomorrowland music festival which is held annually in Belgum. But rest assured, its the same film!
Tomorrowland is in cinemas on the 22nd of May 2015.
