The first Sinister film was a fun little horror effort with a great leading performance by Ethan Hawke and there's a sequel on the way where we get to seeBughuul up to his old tricks again.
The film comes from Irish director Ciaran Foy (Citadel) and the first trailer is live now.
It's pretty creepy stuff, especially for those who are terrified by children lurking around the place. Which is surely most people. The only real problem I had with the original Sinister was towards the end because I genuinely didn't understand the rules aroundBughuul - what are his powers? How does he even kill? There were also a lot of scenes where this blatantly evil and terrifying thing was clearly sitting around in old photos and movies, surely someone would have noticed?
All of that seems to be back for the sequel, which is exactly what fans will want. And maybe I'm expecting too much for horror movies to make sense?
Sinister 2 is in cinemas in August 2015.
