Transformers 4 redesigned to sell toys
There's only so many times you can sell Bumblebee.
Transformers 4 will be used to ship more toys according to Hasbro President and CEO Brian Goldner. He was speaking during a company showcase at the UBS Best Of Americas 2012 Conference and highlighted that toy sales stagnated around the release of Transformers: Dark of the Moon. The result is that Transformers 4 will feature a new cast of redesigned robots to give toy sales a shot in the arm. The story will also revolve around these new characters.

The more fleshy stars are also changing as Shia LaBeouf, Josh Duhamel, Tyrese Gibson and Rosie Huntington-Whiteley are not expected to return to their roles. Michael Bay wants to avoid using the word “reboot” and instead has said that he is taking the story that we’ve seen in a new direction. Ideas have been thrown around and Bay has hinted that the film could spend more time in space.

Transformers 4 will be released on June 27, 2014 and we have to hope that the crew will be able to produce a movie rather than a lengthy advertisement for new toys.
