Maybe it's just me but I love seeing films before the effects are added. For blockbusters you really get an idea of how these movies are constructed so late in the game through a combination of editing and visual effects, and you also get an idea of how much extra effort it is for the actors to really dive into these made up worlds.
So here's a look at raw footage from the set of Marvel's Doctor Strange. This is a film with a lot of special effects to it's fun to see how much of the sets in particular were built. Together with the great costumes, it gives Benedict Cumberbatch and the rest of the cast something to latch onto.
The way the portals are created with practical light on set is particularly lovely, and you really have to admire the work of production designer Charles Wood, who previously worked on Age of Ultron and Guardians of the Galaxy.
Doctor Strange is in Irish cinemas on the 25th of October, 2016.
